This lockout device is used to firmly secure gate valves in the off position, thus preventing operation until the device is removed.
The gate valve lockout can be applied on gate valves (including rising stem) with diameters of up to 165 to 254mm (6.5inch to 10inch) and opens up with a ‘Pacman’ motion to secure around a valve before up to three padlocks/hasps can be added to stop the device from being removed.
The device is made from highly durable, temperature resistant plastic that is also resistant against cracking and abrasion. This means it can be comfortably used in multiple applications, including outdoors.
