ABUS 72/40 Aluminium Padlock

The ABUS 72/40 Aluminium Padlocks are available in the fourteen keyed different, standard models listed in the drop-down selection. These models are comprised of two sizes which differ regarding their shackle proportions. Each of these sizes is available in seven different colours:

• Black
• Blue
• Green
• Lilac
• Orange
• Red
• Yellow

However, the fourteen models listed above are only a fraction of ABUS’ padlocks, for instance, keyed-alike and master key models are also available, for further information please contact our sales team with your specific requirements.  

Further to this, these padlocks’ six-pin precision cylinders can be removed and re-keyed to suit an existing key or can be made to fit a sample key, ensuring that these padlocks can be integrated into an existing system.

Each padlock has a CEN (Central European Norm) security grade of two and an ABUS GPS (Global Protection System) rating of six. As a result of their internal GPS grading, ABUS advises that these padlocks are suitable for lock-out, and tag-out applications, as well as security tasks involving items at a higher risk of theft or of a greater value. For example, ABUS suggests that these padlocks may be used to secure doors, gates, cupboards, lockers, toolboxes, cellar windows, sheds, switchboards, and barriers.

Their self-locking, double-bolted hardened steel shackles and paracentric keyways add to the ABUS 72/40 padlocks’ (this name refers to both sizes, the original 72/40 and the long-shackled 72/40HB40) security, whilst their NANO PROTECT™ coated shackles and corrosion-resistant aluminium bodies ensure that these padlocks can be used in several environments.
